Mohammed Battha är 24 år och har idag bott i Sverige i 400 dagar.
Innan Mohammed kom till Sverige studerade han ekonomi vid Damaskus universitet. År 2013 började män med vapen vakta vägen till universitetet och Mohammed kunde inte längre ta sig till skolan. Han tvingades då fly till Jordanien och därefter vidare till Turkiet. Idag bor Mohammed på ett flyktingläger i södra Sverige.
Mohammed menar att när man har sett krig på nära håll går själen sönder. ”Alla människor är olika men ändå lika, om jag fick skicka ett meddelande till det svenska folket, skulle det vara att inte döma mig på grund av min hudfärg, hårfärg, religion eller landet jag kommer ifrån. Se till mitt hjärta när ni tittar på mig, se vem jag är som person och mina kvalitéer.” I dagsläget hjälper Mohammed till som volontär åt organisationerna Refugee Rights och United Rescue Aid. Men han drömmer om att starta ett eget företag där han kan hjälpa till och förbättra världen.”Jag tror på handling och mitt mål i livet är att förbättra världen”.
